On May 15 SUP has announced that Cyrillic segment of LiveJournal has reached the level of 1 million registered accounts. This includes both the personal journals and communities.
The head of SUP's blogging service Anton Nossik explains: "This "brutto" number includes both the individual users and communities (of which there are 58,400) and RSS accounts and other artifacts, all of which are taken into account by LJ statistics. Speaking about personal users only, there are 935,215 registered ones and with present growth rates we should expect them to hit one million mark by the end of June. I sincerely congratulate all the readers with this event and promise that by the time LJ has one-millionth Cyrillic account, LJ server statistics will be open for public access in real time."
