LiveJournal launches first social media TV series 14 july

LiveJournal is to launch, Ж Men, Russia’s first online TV series in to be broadcast by a social media platform. The concept for Ж Men was created by an in-house team in SUP, LiveJournal’s owners, and developed in partnership with M.A.M.A. a production company, whose team previously worked on many us high-profile projects for Russian TV.

 

SUP and Kommersant extend relationship with equity transaction 22 june

SUP, one of Russia’s fastest growing online media companies, and Kommersant Publishing House, one of Russia’s most prestigious media businesses, have agreed to extend their online partnership. In return for a significant investment Kommersant have acquired an equity stake in SUP. Kommersant will also have the right to appoint two members to the SUP board.

Matthew Berardo Appointed Vice President and General Manager of LiveJournal Inc. 16 june

LiveJournal Inc., one of the world's leading global online communities, today announced that Matthew Berardo has joined the company as Vice President and General Manager. Berardo will lead the LiveJournal team from its Californian home. He will report to Andrew Paulson, CEO of SUP, the owners of LiveJournal.com.

Live Report: BBC Russian launches new blogging community on LiveJournal.com 21 april

BBC World Service has taken its engagement with user-generated content to a new level thanks to a joint project with the leading Russian-language blogging platform, LiveJournal.com. The joint global project, Live Report provides a unique platform for the Russian-speaking blogging community. It connects bloggers with the BBC Russian website, bbcrussian.com, via Russia’s largest blogging platform, LiveJournal.

 

Van Den Belt joins SUP - leading Russian online media company 1 april

SUP today announced that Annelies Van Den Belt will be joining their executive team as its new Russian General Manager on June 1st. Ms Van Den Belt will have responsibility for all of SUP’s operations in Russia and the former USSR. In addition to her Moscow-based role she will oversee the development of revenue streams worldwide.
