26 million of us!

On Friday, 27th of August, 2010, the 26-million account in LiveJournal has been registered.

Every day the number of LiveJournal’s users becomes more and more. On June, 3rd, 2010 25000000 account in LiveJournal has been registered, after three months this figure has increased by 1 million. Thus, at present for the history of global LJ it is created:
+ 2603000 accounts
+ more than 950 000 communities
+ 1 365598282 posts

Annually the quantity of users on average increases almost by 5, 5 million, 12000-14000 users are registered every day.
The number of registered LiveJournal’s users worldwide is approximately equal to the quantity of inhabitants of 12 cities in Russia with a population of one million or more (26 million). Thus LiveJournal grows users in 7 times faster, than “cities with a population of one million or more” (annual growth — 28 % against 4 %).
According to Omniture, the majority of LiveJournal’s visitors speaks English (41 %) and Russian (25 %), German, Portuguese, French, Japanese, Spanish, Ukrainian and Chinese are also in top ten. The share of the visitors speaking the Albanian language makes 0,002 %.
